Nata Village to Roudia Venetian Bridge
Roudia Bridge is part of the Natural Trail that connects the three venetian bridges of Paphos. It was built during the Venetian period and the name “roudia” comes from a bush which was important for the venetian trade.
From the start point just below the village of Nata, we ride the asphalt road for 3km before heading off road and along the Xeros River bed, crossing the river in several places along the way, you are sure to get your feet wet.
Our first point of interest is the abandoned monastery Panagia Tou Sinit, dates back to the 16th century and is still today in excellent condition mainly due to some excellent restoration work.
After a short break we continue along the river pasting two to three disused water mills which were once used in the production of flour.
Our halfway point is the shaded area of the Roudia Bridge were you can cool of in the waters under the bridge.
We return along the same trail stopping for drinks at Argonaftis Donkey Farm before returning to start point for optional meal at the local village tavern
This route is ideal for beginners with some riding experience and good level of fitness.
After the tour is finished is time for a well deserved drink at Searays and the opportunity to enjoy one of the most amazing sunsets in the Mediterranean. Our team will drive you back to your hotel and hand you a goody bag until we see you again!
